Vintage Frame, Hat, Pipe

This is a counterpoint to Magritte’s work “Treachery of Images” in which below a painting of a pipe he wrote, “This is not a pipe”. In other words, the image is not the object. My assemblage of items, is essentially a Magritte image. In this case, the object is the image.

The art piece hangs from a custom floating shelf that can be mounted directly to a wall or suspended from a nail-on wall hook.
